Josh Kingcade

Josh Kingcade is the Education Minister at the Memorial Road Church of Christ. He is passionate about the study and application of Biblical texts, and in his role he helps write curriculum and equip teachers for over twenty adult Bible classes. He also helps run MRCC’s small groups ministry, providing resources for spiritual formation within those groups.

Josh received his B.A. in Biblical Studies from Oklahoma Christian University in 2004, followed by an M.Div. from Oklahoma Christian’s Graduate School of Theology in 2008. He is currently finishing a Doctor of Educational Ministry at Columbia Theological Seminary.

Josh is a teacher at heart and also loves to help others teach effectively. Josh teaches almost every Sunday at Memorial Road and helps equip volunteers to teach adult classes. Josh has also taught college students, having served as an adjunct instructor in the College of Biblical Studies at Oklahoma Christian University since 2005. He has been a contributor to the religion and teaching blog Seminarium.

Josh is married to Aubrey, and they have three children: Mariah (born 2008), Jayden (born 2009), and Myles (born 2010). Josh and Aubrey have served as foster parents with Lilyfield Christian Adoption & Foster Care, and they have a love for all things related to foster care and adoption.

Josh is an avid reader, enjoying works from all over the spectrum, but especially works by Wendell Berry, Walter Brueggemann, Stanley Hauerwas, John Steinbeck, Miroslav Volf, and N.T. Wright.

Josh is a member of the Religious Education Association and the American Academy of Religion.
